FINAL RELEASE TRAILER

Year: 2014-2015
Timeframe: 48 hours, 1 year, full time
Position: Game & Level Designer
Systems: PC, Xbox One, with Unity
Responsibilities: Concepting, designing and iterating on the game and level design together with the 6 others in team and creating an awesome game in 48 hours.
Skills/Software used: Photoshop for level concepting. Unity for level design and implementation. Whiteboards and markers for a lot of notes and ideas that were scrapped.
Created content
: 8 levels of increasing difficulty that anyone can play through and explore the mechanics with.
Awards: Jury's First Prize & Audience award at GGJ Site Breda, First prize at National GGJ exhibtion, EGW GDC 2014 Showcase, Shown at the Microsoft E3 2014 Media briefing, Playable co-op version on E3 2014 show floor
Notable accomplishments
  • Made a unique and fun game in 48 hours
  • Made it able to be picked up and played with, which we accomplished and proved at multiple events
  • Showcased at EGW GDC 2014
  • Showcased at E3 2014
  • Showcased at the Microsoft E3 press conference
  • Entered ID@Xbox with it and started development for a FRU on Xbox One
Learning points
  • Gained experience on how to generate and react to press on an Indie scale
  • Did extensive research and practical work concerning IP law and European media law
  • Learned how to deal with the situation of getting a mic shoved under your face on the E3 showfloor and being told to explain everything in your game within 5 seconds
